NSS
or
the
NSO.
These
are
Co-Curricular
activities
and
each
student
is
required
to
put
in
120
hours
of
work
per
year
in
the
activity
of
her

Clusters
and
the
College.

Working
with
blind
students
at
the
Blind
school
in
Vikas
puri.

Helping
the
inmates
of
'Nirmal
Chhaya'
at
Tihar
Jail.

NSO(Sports)
The
College
has
extensive
playgrounds
and
adequate
arrangements
for
Kho-Kho,
Volleyball,
Basketball,
Badminton,
Table
Tennis,
Gymnastics,
Handball
and
Athletics.
Special
coaching
classes
are
also
organised
for
sports.
The
college
is
starting
a
Cricket
Academy
from
this
academic
session.
Student
will
be
trained
and
the
College
team
will
participate
in
various
tournaments.

Drama
Club:
The
College
has
an
active
Drama
club
which
produces
plays
for
performance
in
college
and
outside.
Last
year
the
Drama
club
produced
three
plays: Khauff,
Charandas-Chor, and Birjis
Kadra
Ka
Kunba. The
year
before
the
college
won
four
first
prizes
at
the
B.V.Karanth
Memorial
festival
at
the
National
School
of
Drama
for
the
production
of Khauff.
Any
student
interested
in
theatre
can
join.

NCC(National
Cadet
Corps)
NCC
Training
is
offered
at
the
undergraduate
level.
It
includes
Parades
and
Posture
Training,
Signal
and
Map
Reading,
First-Aid,
Home
Nursing,
Adventure
Training
Camps
and
Rifle
Shooting.
Regular
camps
and
competitions
are
also
organized
by
the
NCC
Director
for
the
cadets.

Red
Stockings
Literary
society:
The
dept.
of
English
runs
a
literary
society
called
the
Red
Stockings
which
holds
Play
Readings,
Seminars,
Paper
Readings
and
Quizzes
through
the
year.
Membership
for
students
of
English
(Hons)
is
compulsory.
Student
from
other
disciplines
interested
in
literary
activities
are
welcome
to
join.

National
Services
Scheme:
The
NSS
develops
a
sense
of
sociol
responsibility
in
students.
It
encourages
them
to
give
back
to
society
in
some
measures
and
be
a
part
of
it
by
participating
in
various
social
welfare
and
developent
related
activities.
An
NSS
volunteer
may
join
any
ofthe
following
projects
:
- Adult
Literacy
programme.
- Voluntary
Hospital
service
at
the
DDU
Hospital.

ECO
CLUB:
The
College
runs
an
ECO
Club
which
undertakes
environmental
projects
like
Water
Harvesting,
Tree
Plantation,
Garbage
Segregation,
Bio-Compositing
and
Greening
in
the
College
premises.
It
also
helps
in
keeping
the
premises
of
the
college
beautiful
and
clean.
All
students
interested
in
environmental
issues
are
welcome
to
become
members
of
the
