1. ENGLISH (HONS.)
  67% Consolidated Score in the CATE Entrance Test for General students and 60% for students belonging to the OBC category.
2. POLITICAL SCIENCE (HONS.)
  72% and above in the aggregate and 75% in the subject. Students from the Science and Commerce streams will be considered at 5% above the cut off in the aggregate. 10% less for students belonging to the OBC.

HINDI (HONS.)
  63% and above in the aggregate with 66% in the subject. Pass in English in Std XII or pass in English and Sanskrit in Std X. 10% less for students belonging to the OBC.

HISTORY (HONS.)
  64% and above in the aggregate and 68% in the subject for Humanities students. 68% in the aggregate for Science and Commerce students. 10% less for students belonging to the OBC.

SANSKRIT (HONS.)
  50% and above in the aggregate and 57% in the subject in Std XII or 60% in the subject in Std X. 10% less for students belonging to the OBC.

B.A. PROGRAMME
  73% marks in the aggregate. 10% less for students belonging to the OBC.

5% RELAXATION FOR CANDIDATES OPTING FOR MUSIC, SANSKRIT, COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AND PUNJABI IN THE B.A. (PROGRAMME).]
Besides opting for academic subjects like Political Science, History and Economics, Students can also opt for the following :
  • FAMILY & CHILD WELFARE OPTION : Students having studied Home Science/Science/Psychology/Sociology will be given preference for admission to Family & Child Welfare. Must have passed English in Std XII.
    Second option : Political Science.
  • OFFICE MANAGEMENT & SECRETARIAL PRACTICE OPTION:Candidates must have passed in English in Std XII. Preference will be given to those who have passed shorthand and typewriting (English) in Std XII and to students from the commerce stream.
    Second option : Economics.
  • COMPUTER APPLICATIONS : Those who have studied Science, Computer Science and Maths will be given preference. Must have cleared English in Std. XII.
    Second option : Economics
  • MUSIC : Trials for admission to B.A. (Programme) with Music will be held on Tuesday, 28th June 2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the Music Room. Students must register with the B.A. (Programme) Committee

B.COM(HONS.)
  87% and above in the aggregate. 10% less for students belonging to the OBC.
Students must have studied English, Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics in Std. XII. For those who have not studied Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies, the cut-off will go up by 2% for each subject not studied.

  83 % and above in the aggregate.10% less for students belonging to the OBC.
Students must have studied English, Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics in Std.XII. For students who have not studied Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics, the cut off will go up by 2% for each subject not studied.

Vocational subjects and the following academic subjects will not be counted in determining the aggregate.
